Tottenham Hotspur Football Club again receives high praise in the Sports+ Positive League Clubs Environmental Report, showcasing their dedication to environmental protection.
The recent Sports+ Positive Environmental Sustainability Report makes for interesting reading for any football fan, ranking all members of the league across a variety of sustainability factors including energy, transport, action, commitment and communication. The White Hart Lane, ‘Spurs Stadium’ staple boasts some impressive statistics as one of 15 stadiums to have building management systems in place to ensure efficiency of resources, one of 13 clubs surveyed that has electricity provided from 100% renewable sources, and one of only six clubs to have clean energy generation at their stadium. With such a dedication to sustainability through digitalisation, Schneider Electric recently invited the industrial press to the iconic stadium for a guided tour and an in-depth look at the role of the EcoCare Services Membership.

Facilitated by Cadence, the First Friday Club Editors’ Briefings visits over two days saw 15 editors from the leading engineering, industry, and manufacturing publications hear about the 10:10 initiative that sees individuals, businesses, schools and other organisations aiming to cut their emissions by 10% in a year. This challenging target has led to continuous efforts to optimise the complex systems required for a facility that reaches far beyond sport.
