Seven industrial leaders to brief editors on 6th October
On October 6th in central London we’ll be welcoming industrial journalists to our next Frist Friday Editors’ briefing, a unique event which gives businesses in the industrial sector the opportunity to speak directly to the media about new products, news, events, and more.
This month we are at a new venue, The Wellington Hotel in St. James’. Speakers will include representatives from Schneider Electric, Fairfield Controls, Nidec, the Royal Academy of Engineering, Beckhoff Automation, and Gambica. It promises to be an informative event with plenty of media material for the assembled journalists to report back via their publications and websites.
Beckhoff Automation has previously presented modular systems allowing for flexibility when working with automation systems and on October 6th Bradley McEwan will present the new ARTO system. A modular industrial robot system which allows for robots to be assembled for different applications on an individual and flexible basis adding to their holistic control platform.
Nidec Control Techniques who designs and manufactures electric motor control solutions for industrial applications such as printing, elevators, pumping and HVAC as well as automation machinery will also be joining us with Ralph Neal and Kevin Brooks presenting the company’s latest news.
We will also be joined by Andrew Clark from the Royal Academy of Engineering who will be announcing the winners of the Bhattacharyya Award 2023. The Bhattacharyya Award is an annual prize of £25,000 awarded to the team that best demonstrates the benefits of collaboration between academia and industry.
Gambica will be presenting the essential interplay between collaborative research, policy, and STEM fields. They will highlight how these areas are interconnected and how they can drive innovation and progress in the industrial landscape.
Both Schneider Electric and Fairfield Control Systems will also be joining us to present their recent Glasgow smart canals project. The Projects aim is to transform Glasgow’s canal system into a cutting-edge smart canal network to increase efficiency, connectivity, and community engagement.
